The Liverpool Domestic Abuse Service (LDAS) is a partnership approach to tackling domestic violence in Liverpool.
The Liverpool Domestic Abuse Service is a partnership approach to tackling domestic violence in Liverpool. The service is based with the Health Energy Advice Team at the heart of the community and benefits from the broad experience of HEAT in developing and managing innovative projects.
The overall aim of the project is to provide a seamless service to empower ALL women and girls experiencing domestic abuse.
A major focus of our work is to provide a comprehensive service to individuals from Black Asian Multi Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) communities within the Liverpool area to ensure that the needs of our diverse racial and cultural groups are met; domestic abuse is not confined to any particular group.
LDAS offer a free confidential service and our trained IDVA’s (Independent Domestic Violence Advocates) provide advice, support, practical assistance and legal information as well as training and policy development for local agencies and front line staff.
