The KATE project is for residents who are interested in improving their employability skills and returning to work. The Project targets people who face additional barriers to returning to work, they can be those who have an illness or disability, refugees, long term unemployed or lone parents. The project can help with developing a CV or accessing training; including specific job skills and more generalist training such as improving confidence and professionalism. The project can also assist residents to resolve issues to make the transition into work as smooth as possible for example providing better off calculations, including Tax Credit /Child Tax Credit assessments and assistance with benefit claims.
The project wants to support residents who are considering returning to work but worry they do no have the right skills or abilities. The KATE team can assist you to find out what’s right for you and to take up new opportunities.
Every person is different; HEAT is a local organisation and can assist each person as an individual.
